Butyl tape with extremely high adhesive strength for universal sealing

EGOBON 226 is a highly adhesive Butyl sealing tape which is characterised by its versatility and extremely high surface Tack. The double-sided self-adhesive thermoplastic sealing tape is also available as a round profile. EGOBON 226 is also available as a “hot melt” for industrial applications and can be used in a wide range of industrial settings using barrel melting systems. The high-quality, long-lasting and UV-resistant Butyl compound is characterised by its high quality thanks to its almost unlimited durability and functionality, especially in the automotive sector and in “sustainable construction”.

EGOBON 226 is suitable for sealing and fixing in the industrial and construction sectors as well as for overlapping and protective sealing tasks without the Transmission of mechanical forces on joints, connections, breakthroughs, seams, wrapping and butt joints, as well as for extensive repair tasks both indoors and outdoors. The product can be used as corrosion protection between metal materials or as vibration and noise insulation. Mechanical protection is required in cases where forces are transmitted. As a hot melt [in a barrel], EGOBON 226 is excellently suited for processing in barrel melting systems, thanks to its flow temperature of approx. 125°C and 140°C. Here, the temperature influences the flow rate.
