Butyl tape for sealing in civil engineering & for precast concrete parts

EGOPOL is a Butyl rubber-based sealing tape which works straight away without any waiting time, and which is characterised by its simple, straightforward application. EGOPOL is available as a double-sided, self-adhesive, non-shrinking, thermoplastic sealing tape and also as a round profile. Its properties and components make EGOPOL excellently suited to “sustainable building”, and it promises a long-lasting seal.

EGOPOL is suitable for sealing joints between components made of concrete, wood, fibre cement, corrugated sheet metal, fibre-reinforced polyester, etc. In general, EGOPOL can be used for overlapping and protective sealing applications at joints, connections, seams, wraps, penetrations and butt joints, as well as for extensive repair work indoors and outdoors. In addition to serving as a temporary fixing aid without transferring mechanical loads, the product provides corrosion protection between metallic materials and can also be used for vibration damping and sound insulation. Where load transfer is required, additional mechanical fastening is necessary.
