The CONLOC SK adhesives are silicone-based adhesives for special applications. CONLOC SK 711 is ideal as a self-levelling and electrically insulating silicone for vibration- and shock-loaded fixings and sealings, for example in electrical and household appliances, lighting, ventilation systems, heating units, and more. CONLOC SK 713 is a liquid, clear 2-component silicone for glass-to-glass bonding as well as for producing molded parts by casting.
SK adhesives are based on an acetate system and split off minor amounts of acetic acid and solvent during curing.
CONLOC SK is also designated as “silicone adhesive”. As a single-component adhesive, CONLOC SK 711 reacts with skin formation in approx. 10-20 min. The vulcanisation time in the first 24 hours is approx. 2-3 mm. The vulcanisation time then slows down and is dependent on the adhesive thickness, temperature and ambient humidity. As a two-component adhesive, CONLOC SK 713 has a pot life of approx. 60-90 min. and a vulcanisation time of 24 hours at room temperature. The vulcanisation time is reduced at higher temperatures.
CONLOC SK 711 is used when a bond which should withstand the vibrations in areas which are subjected to vibration or impacts is required. CONLOC SK 713 is recommended for glass-glass surface adhesions and for the production of moulded parts.
