EGOPREN C1 meets the requirements of load-bearing group 1 (BG 1) in accordance with DIN 18542.

BG1 means, among other things, that the stress with regard to joint weathering, driving rain and humidity is high.

EGOPREN C3 replaces three sealing products with one. The multifunctional tape is used for driving rain-tight and air-tight sealing of connection joints in windows and doors and ensures heat-insulation properties throughout the installation depth. It meets the requirements of load-bearing group 1 (MF 1) in accordance with DIN 18542.

EGOPREN C1 is designed for sealing of outdoor wall joints in building construction, prefabricated concrete construction, timber construction, masonry construction, metal construction and container construction. EGOPREN C1 is suitable for sealing of connection joints in windows and doors, as well as for sealing applications in roof, conservatory and ventilation areas. With correct compression, the sealing tape is driving rain-proof in accordance with DIN EN 1027. It meets the requirements of load-bearing group 1 (BG 1) in accordance with DIN 18542.

EGOPREN C3 was specially developed according to the principle “tighter on the inside than on the outside” and, with its water vapour-permeable sealing properties, is used for fast and secure sealing during the installation of windows and doors. EGOPREN C3 can be used for blind frames with connecting bars. Here, the inside and outside support width on the bars must be at least 15 millimetres. We recommend the use of groove cover profiles. Doubling may result in uneven expansions.

The product cannot be painted/plastered over and is not intended for expansion joints in facades. For joints between solid structural elements, we recommend using EGOPREN C1 of BG1.
